At Kee Essentials, we understand that anyone can develop an emotional or mental illness — you, a family member, a friend, or a neighbor. The impact can range from mild to serious and temporary to long-lasting. Therefore, the nature of psychiatric treatment is such that, not all patients require medication. A practical evaluation will determine the most suitable option and ensure it is aligned with your goals.
Whether the determination is made to begin psychotherapy, prescribe medication, or a combination of the two, you can rest assured that your opinion matters. The goal of Kee Essentials, is to establish a collaborative environment with my clients and identify the best path forward to return to normalcy at work, school, and in personal relationships.
At Kee Essentials, we treat adults (age 18 and over) irrespective of gender, race, or affiliation, for mental disorders. The challenges facing those who are dealing with mental illness may be intimidating and the desire for treatment may daunting, but we understand. Our goal is to erase the stigma of mental illness and walk together with our clients to successfully complete this journey.

ALCOHOL ADDICTION
Naltrexone (or Nalmefene) treats alcohol addiction. Using Naltrexone one hour before your first drink of the day for the rest of your life as long as you continue to drink. Naltrexone chemically disrupts the body’s behavior/reward cycle causing you to want to drink less instead of more. Laboratory blood testing results needs to be provided prior to prescribing Naltrexone. Your mental health practitioner here at Kee Essentials will provide a laboratory prescription for testing.
- Naltrexone blocks the release of endorphins whenever alcohol is ingested.
- The blocked reinforcement caused by naltrexone whenever alcohol is consumed gradually weakens and ultimately extinguishes the behavior of drinking.
- The reduction in craving and drinking is progressive. Benefits can be seen as soon as 10 days after starting, but the effects are more than three times stronger after three to four months.
- The benefits continue increasing indefinitely as long as you take naltrexone every single time you drink alcohol.
- Naltrexone has no potential for addiction, does not make you feel high or low, and seldom produces side effects.
- Recommended with effective intensive counseling, education and medical monitoring.
- Naltrexone is a lifetime commitment.
